Rare Earths & Niobium Project in Angola
The Coola Rare Earths & Niobium Project is a highly prospective critical minerals project in central Angola, targeting rare earth elements and niobium essential to electric vehicles, renewable energy technologies and advanced manufacturing. The project covers approximately 830km² and hosts multiple alkaline intrusions and carbonatite targets within the Lucapa Graben region.
Project Highlights
- 830km² granted exploration licence in central Angola
- Four mapped alkaline intrusions
- Two known carbonatite targets with rare earth and niobium potential
- Located within the Lucapa Graben
- Historical geophysical and geochemical datasets available
- Approximately 60km from Huambo
Geological Setting
The project is situated within the Lucapa Graben, a major geological corridor known for alkaline intrusions, kimberlites and carbonatites that can host rare earth elements, niobium and phosphate mineralisation.
Priority Exploration Targets
- Coola Carbonatite
- Mt Verde Carbonatite
- Sulima Intrusion
- Sulima West Intrusion
Why the Coola Project Matters
The Coola Project combines district-scale landholding, established geological prospectivity, known carbonatite systems and historical exploration data within one of Africa’s emerging critical minerals regions.
